CDB vs Marijuana vs. Hemp

CBD and Marijuana come from the same parent herb, which is Cannabis.  Marijuana is one type of Cannabis, which has a higher concentration of THC (that causes a psychoactive effect), and a lower concentration of CBD.

Industrial Hemp is a different type of Cannabis that has a much lower concentration of THC (less than 0.3%) and a higher concentration of CBD.

The confusion surrounding hemp CBD vs. cannabis CBD relates to the plant’s classification, name, and makeup. Basically, hemp plants generally contain more CBD, and cannabis plants contain more tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound that causes the ‘high’ that people associate with cannabis use.

Hemp is considered one of the oldest domesticated crops in world history.

Hemp plants contain more than 100 naturally occurring, dynamic compounds known as CANNABINOIDS.

What are cannabinoids? The word cannabinoid refers to every chemical substance, regardless of structure or origin, that joins the cannabinoid receptors of the body and brain and that have similar effects to those produced by the Cannabis Sativa plant.

When you get your CBD from Hemp, trace quantities of THC are not sufficient to cause intoxication, rarely even if large amounts of Hemp is ingested.  CBD from hemp delivers the identical level of endocannabinoid system support minus the high or the threat of any of marijuana’s prospective side effects.

CBD & Hempseed Oil

Hempseed oil and CBD oil are very different products.  Although Hempseed oil is full of nutrients, it is pressed from hemp seeds and contains little if any CBD or any other cannabinoids and does not give you the benefits of the ENTOURAGE EFFECT.

CBD oil comes from the whole hemp plant (the flowers, leaves, and stalk).  Whole Hemp Extract  contains a higher concentration of cannabinoids (including CBD), and provides  numerous potential health benefits.

Many people have purchased Hemp Oil or Hempseed Oil, thinking that it contains CBD.  They are spending way too much and only getting a fraction of the benefits that they would get from a Whole Hemp Extract, which has the maximum amount of CBD.

WILL CBD GET ME HIGH?  CBD = Zero High

Remember: hemp plants generally contain more CBD, and cannabis plants contain more tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound that causes the ‘high’ that people associate with cannabis use. CBD from hemp has less than 0.3% THC.
